Turtle Brownies

2 OZ unsweetened chocolate, chopped cup milk
1 stick butter 1 cup sugar
1 egg 1 cup all-purpose flour
tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla
chopped pecans cup prepared caramel sauce

Preheat oven to 350 F.. Butter & flour an 8 inch square baking pan.
In small saucepan, combine chocolate & milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until chocolate is melted.
Set aside.
In medium bowl, cream togather butter, sugar & egg.
Combine flour and baking powder & stir into butter mixture.
Stir in chocolate mixture & vanilla.
Fold in cup pecans.
Transfer batter to prepared pan, smoothing the top.
Bake 30 minutes.
Set on rack to cool.
While brownines are still warm, spread caramel sauce over top, then sprinkle with remaining pecans.
Cool completely & cut into 2 inch squares.
